Himrod seedless grapes are often described as having a sweet, delicate, almost honey-like flavor with a melting, juicy texture.
This grapevine produces seedless, golden-yellow fruits on large, loose clusters. A single grape plant can produce 10 to 15 pounds of fruit. Himrod seedless grapes are known for their rapid ripening, usually in the first week of September. However, they are susceptible to bunch stem necrosis, a condition that causes the bunch stem to shrivel just before harvest. However, they are quite hardy, disease resistant, and good for home gardening as they are self-pollinating.
Plant this shrub in spring or autumn in compost-rich, well-drained soil and leave sufficient space around the plant. Flowers in June and can be harvested in September.
