Endive is a versatile leafy vegetable with a mild, slightly spicy flavour. You can eat it raw in salads, stewed or processed in mashed potatoes. Thanks to its fast growth, you will have quick results and can harvest multiple times per season.
Endive can tolerate light cold, but if night frost is predicted it is wise to protect the plants with fleece. This helps to prevent frost damage and ensures healthy growth.
Tip:
Before planting, place the pressed cubes in a bowl of water for a while so that they soak up water. This helps the roots to attach faster and better in the soil.
