Pineapple guava, also called Feijoa, is a shrub to small tree with beautiful silver-green leaves and produces incredibly beautiful blossoms. After the blossom, egg-shaped green fruits develop that, when ripe, contain cream-colored pulp that tastes something like pineapple. This self-pollinating pineapple guava can withstand temperatures down to -10ºC and must therefore be protected from severe frost. The pineapple guava grows into a shrub/tree of 3-4 meters high, likes to be in the sun and tolerates pruning well.
