This annual delphinium can be a bit difficult to germinate, because the seeds need a cold period (stratification) to germinate well. If you want to sow indoors, it is useful to put the seeds in the freezer for a few days. Then sow the seeds superficially on the soil, because delphinium needs light to germinate. Press them gently so that they make good contact with the soil. Keep the soil moist but make sure it does not get soaked. It can take a while before the seeds start to germinate, so be patient!
