The sweet potato variety Bellevue is one of the sweetest there is. It has an extremely smooth, red-orange skin and intense orange flesh. Bellevue is known for its high content of natural sugars, which ensures a distinctly sweet taste. The tubers have a fine structure and are particularly suitable for baking, mashing or use in sweet dishes.
Planting out can start in mid-May, as soon as the risk of night frost has passed. Choose a warm, sunny spot with loose, well-drained soil. Leave enough space between the plants (about 30–40 cm) so that they can develop well. Regular watering is important, especially in dry weather, but avoid wet feet. Keeping weed-free promotes healthy growth. East just before the first frost.
