The ‘Roter Weinbergpfirsich’, also known as the red vineyard peach, is a special, old variety that produces its characteristic dark red fruit in September. The flesh is firm, red-colored, and aromatic in flavor. It is slightly less sweet than a common peach, but precisely for this reason, it is perfect for jams, compotes, pies, and even liqueurs. In the spring, the tree appears with beautiful pink blossoms that brighten up the garden. It grows to about 3 to 4 meters tall, prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location, and thrives best in well-drained, nutritious soil. Bare root, what does that mean?
Bare root means that a tree or shrub is delivered without a pot and without soil around the roots. The advantage is that bare-root plants are more affordable than potted plants.
