Raised bed

A raised bed offers numerous advantages over planting directly in your garden soil. A raised bed warms up faster in the spring, it keeps more weeds away from your vegetables, and my children know exactly where they should walk. And a vegetable garden where my children occasionally come to help out is invaluable to me. As a final advantage, I would add that some soils are not suitable for use as a vegetable garden due to their composition. In a raised bed, you choose the soil yourself.
