Organically certified shallot 'Biztro' - 250 gram bag

Biztro is a relatively new shallot variety in the early segment, originating from the Netherlands. Compared to other red shallot varieties, Biztro excels on all fronts. It produces very uniform, round shallots with a very strong, beautiful red/brown skin. Biztro is also called the improved Red Sun. Furthermore, the variety can be grown in any soil type and is suitable for long-term storage.

•  Planting period : March to April
  
•  Planting distance : plant them in rows 30 cm apart and 15 cm between the plants.
•  Planting depth : Plant the shallot so that the tip just emerges in sandy soil, and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the tip and 0.5 cm of the shallot remaining above). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Tarred compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
•  Harvest : July-August
