The Meyer lemon is a special citrus fruit that is a cross between a common lemon and a mandarin. This results in a milder, sweeter flavor than the classic lemon. Its thin, aromatic peel and juicy flesh make this lemon perfect for both sweet and savory dishes.
Light & location: this plant thrives best in a sunny, sheltered spot, such as a conservatory, greenhouse, or sunny balcony. In winter, it can overwinter indoors at a temperature above 2°C. It can also overwinter in a conservatory/greenhouse, but in the event of frost, it must be additionally protected with fleece or heating.
Water & care: water regularly, but prevent the roots from standing in wet soil. Use citrus fertilizer for healthy growth and fruit production.
Fruits: the Meyer lemon tree produces fragrant flowers and delicious-smelling, orange-yellow lemons with a unique, slightly sweet flavor.
