Thornless blackberry 'Navaho' (Rubus fruticosus)
'Navaho' is our grower's favorite because it is a bit sweeter than other thornless blackberries. The plant has beautiful upright shoots and is a strong grower. Thornless blackberry is easy to grow because, unlike wild blackberry, it has no thorns. This makes them easy to guide and prune.

• Planting: November to March
• Pruning : Blackberries should be pruned in the fall. Remove the old fruiting stems, which are the branches that bore fruit in the previous season. These branches will not produce new fruit and are best removed. Also check the support and make sure the branches are well attached to the trellis or supports. This helps the plant to remain upright and ensures that the fruit is properly borne.
• Organic/non-organic: This planting material comes from a small-scale grower, without an official organic certificate. But don't worry, we are sure that it is poison-free.

Open ground or pots: You can grow all soft fruit in pots, the bigger the pot the better they will do. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in the open ground. In the open ground this species does need support by means of a fence, fence or is tied to wires that are stretched between poles.
