Raspberry Rubus idaeus ‘Twotimer Sugana Red®’ - 2 litre pot

The Rubus Idaeus 'Twotimer Sugana Red®' is a unique raspberry that bears fruit twice a year, a true asset to your garden! The bright red raspberries are wonderfully sweet and the plant is easy to maintain. 

The shrub grows upright and reaches a height of approximately 180 cm, making it also suitable for smaller gardens and even balconies. In June you can expect the first harvest on the old canes, while in autumn the new canes will produce fruit again.

Tips and care:

• Planting: plant the shrubs from September to March. If you plant later in the season, keep in mind that you will need to provide extra water during warm weather, as the roots have not yet established well.
• Pruning: in autumn, prune all 2-year-old canes back completely to the ground. Leave the 1-year-old canes. The first fruits of the following year will appear on these.  
• Open ground or pots: you can grow all soft fruit in pots; the larger the pot, the better they will perform. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in open ground. In open ground, this variety does require support by means of a trellis, fence, or by being tied to wires stretched between posts.
