Blueberry / bilberry (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Brigitta Blue') - 2 liter pot

'Brigitta Blue' is a late-ripening, highly productive blueberry with large, firm, light-blue fruits and a refreshing sweet-tart flavor. Harvest from early August to September. This hardy shrub (approximately 1.2–1.4 m) adorns the garden with white blossoms in spring and brilliant autumn colors. It grows best in acidic, moist soil in a sunny to partially shaded location.

Tips and care:

• Planting: September to March (not during severe frost), after that date is also possible, but keep in mind that you'll need to provide extra water in warm weather as the roots aren't yet well established. It grows as a shrub and therefore doesn't require support.
• Pruning : Should be pruned in the fall. The plants don't require much pruning, especially not in the first few years. However, if the plant becomes too large or yields decline, some pruning may be necessary.
• Open ground or pots: You can grow all soft fruit in pots; the larger the pot, the better they will do. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in the open ground.
