Eremorange citrus tree or finger lime (Citrus sinensis x glauca) - 2-liter pot

The Eremorange is a thorny citrus tree, a spontaneous cross between an orange and a wild lemon from Australia. This self-pollinating citrus grows into a tree 2-3 meters tall in open ground, but can also be kept in a pot, where it remains smaller. The tree is highly resistant to dry conditions and can withstand temperatures of -12°C and lower while dormant.

The fruit is exceptional; the flesh consists of small pearls, which is why this variety is also called finger lime. This citrus has a subtle, unique flavor and is ideal for use in dishes or drinks. The Eremorange loves full sun and does not tolerate "wet feet."

Young plants are more sensitive to frost, so grow them in a protected environment for the first few years until the plants are sufficiently large and fully hardy.

Tips and care:

• Planting: because the trees are supplied in pots, they can be planted all year round. We recommend planting in the autumn, as the soil is still warm and moist, which allows the trees to root well. Plants planted in the autumn have a better-developed root system than those planted in the spring.
• Organic/non-organic: this planting material comes from a small-scale nursery without an official organic certificate. But don't worry, we are certain it is grown without toxins.
• Attention: Citrus plants can sometimes develop yellowish leaves in winter. This is because they should not be given nutrients during this period. Otherwise, they would grow too vigorously, and the new shoots would be at an increased risk of frost damage. Give the plant nutrients again in the spring and it will turn a beautiful green once more.
