Ginger (Zingiber officinale) - 1 piece of organic rhizome with at least 1 growth bud

Fresh ginger to grow yourself. This piece of rhizome with at least one growth bud loves warmth, sun, and airy, nutrient-rich potting soil. After receiving it, plant the rhizome with the bud facing upward, about 5–7 cm deep in well-draining, rich potting soil (preferably in a pot). Keep the soil slightly moist and provide the plant with plenty of sun and warmth. Ginger cannot tolerate cold at all, so bring the pot indoors in the autumn. You can harvest after ±8–10 months, when the foliage begins to die back. Always save a piece of the root to replant.

Ideal for growing in a pot, greenhouse, or indoors in a sunny spot. After a long growing period, you can harvest your own spicy ginger, delicious fresh in tea, stir-fries, or curries. A flavorful must-have for every picker.
