'Erato' sweet potato tuber - grow your own sweet potato slips
Erato is a robust white sweet potato variety with a mild, sweet flavor. The tubers are smooth, uniform in shape, and produce a high yield. This variety grows well in our climate, both in the garden and in a greenhouse.
How to grow your own slips from a single tuber:
- Place the tuber halfway into moist potting soil or place the bottom in a glass of water.
- Keep it in a warm (20–25°C) and bright spot.
- Shoots will appear after 2–4 weeks.
- Carefully break or cut off the shoots once they are 10–15 cm long.
- Let them root in water or plant them directly into potting soil.
