Pumpkin 'Leckør F1' BIO

This edible pumpkin 'Leckør F1' has an excellent taste and orange flesh. The harvest is very large and the fruits are about 1 to 1.5 kg heavy. One bag is for about 7 m2, and the planting distance is 140x60 cm.

Pumpkin 'Leckør F1' is a silver-gray squash. The English name squash applies to all edible pumpkins and this variety certainly belongs to it. The deep orange flesh has an excellent taste and the fruits are on average 1-1.5 kg heavy.

The pumpkin 'Leckør F1' has a rich harvest. This means that a yield of 30-40 tons per hectare is not uncommon. In a cool place the fruits can be stored for 4 months or longer.

Saving seeds

Store seeds in a cool, dry and dark place, such as a sealed box in a cupboard. Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and use them before that time. If the packaging has been opened, make sure it is sealed properly and check the germination capacity before use.

You can easily test the germination capacity of seeds with a germination test :

  1. Place a few seeds (for example 10) on a damp piece of kitchen paper.
  2. Fold the paper towel closed and place it in a plastic bag or place it in a sealed container.
  3. Place it in a warm place, such as on the windowsill.
  4. After a few days, check to see if the seeds have started to germinate.
