Organic fridge strawberry plant 'verdi' - Packed per 10 pieces

Verdi is a mid-early variety with fruits forming in June. Verdi fruits are juicy and sweet and have a good shelf life (about 2 days until they become soft). Verdi is not very susceptible to diseases and is highly resistant to stem base rot (phytophthora cactorum) and wilt (verticillium), two common diseases in the vegetable garden.

A once-bearing strawberry variety produces a large harvest once a year. This type of strawberry plant produces a lot of fruit in a short period of time, which is ideal for fresh use, jam or freezing. Once-bearing varieties, such as Verdi, are often stronger and more productive than everbearing varieties.

Frigo plants are plants with bare roots that are stored by the grower at a low temperature in the cold store after cultivation. The roots of these strawberries are therefore bare and there is no soil on them. The frigo strawberries are shipped in a bag so that the roots do not dry out and must therefore be planted out or potted as soon as possible.
