Gladiolus 'Flevo Breezer'

With Gladiolus 'Flevo Breezer', you bring a striking and fresh appearance to your garden. This small-flowered gladiolus stands out for its surprising color palette of fresh lime-green to yellow hues with subtle pink and raspberry-red accents in the heart of the gladiolus flower. Thanks to its more compact size, the stems are extremely sturdy and less likely to blow over. These high-quality gladiolus bulbs (size 12/14) ensure a rich bloom and are highly sought after for playful, summery hand-tied bouquets due to their unique color composition.

Tips and care

• Planting: plant these gladiolus bulbs between March and May in open ground or in large pots, as soon as the risk of night frost has passed. Choose a sunny spot in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and plant them about 8 to 10 cm deep.

• Maintenance: keep the soil moderately moist during growth. Because this variety stays slightly more compact, staking is usually unnecessary in a sheltered spot.

• Overwintering: since a gladiolus is not hardy, dig up the bulbs before the first night frost. Let them dry and store them frost-free in a dark place until the following spring.

• Open ground or pots: shines just as well in small groups among perennials in the border as it does in a generous pot on the patio.
