Cosmos bipinnatus (cosmea) - 'Double Rose Hollandaise'
The Double Dutch Rose is a stunning Cosmea variety with large, double flowers in deep shades of pink. The lush, full petals add a romantic touch to any garden or cutting garden. At 100-120 cm tall, the long, sturdy stems are perfect for flower arrangements and bouquets, and the airy leaves add a lovely, delicate texture. Flowering continues from July to October, making this Cosmea a real seasonal favourite. It also attracts bees and butterflies, making your garden even more vibrant with life.
Sowing instructions:
Cosmos is a light germinator, which means that the seeds only need to be lightly covered with soil. If you are pre-sowing, you can place the elongated seeds vertically in the soil, leaving part of the seed visible. This often works well for even germination. If you are sowing in the open ground, you can simply spread the seeds, press them lightly and keep the soil moist, but not too wet. Within 5 to 7 days, the first seeds will start to germinate.
