Cosmos bipinnatus (cosmea) - Kiiro
The Kiiro is a unique and enchanting Cosmea variety that will enrich your garden with its soft, lemon-yellow flowers. The name 'Kiiro' means 'yellow' in Japanese, and this flower lives up to that name with its delicate, pastel-coloured petals. The plant reaches a height of approximately 90-110 cm and blooms abundantly from June to October. In addition, this Cosmea attracts bees and butterflies, which provides extra liveliness in your garden.
Sowing instructions:
Cosmos is a light germinator, which means that the seeds only need to be lightly covered with soil. If you are pre-sowing, you can place the elongated seeds vertically in the soil, leaving part of the seed visible. This often works well for even germination. If you are sowing in the open ground, you can simply spread the seeds, press them lightly and keep the soil moist, but not too wet. Within 5 to 7 days, the first seeds will start to germinate.
