Columnar pear 'Condo' is the ideal pear for those with limited space who still want to enjoy home-grown dessert pears. This variety is known for its very early and heavy yield. The medium-sized, slender pears change from green to yellow-green upon ripening. The flesh is melt-in-the-mouth juicy, sweet, and aromatic. Because 'Condo' grows slowly and naturally maintains a very slender shape, it fits into any garden or onto any patio.

What is a columnar fruit tree?

A columnar fruit tree is a special type of fruit tree cultivated to have a compact, vertical growth habit, similar to a pillar. This makes them particularly suitable for smaller gardens, patios, or even balconies where space is limited. Instead of growing into a wide tree, a columnar fruit tree grows in a tight, upright shape, allowing you to grow more fruit in a smaller area.

• Open ground or pots: grows well in a spacious pot on the patio, but flowers and fruits even better in open ground.
