Morado garlic is a beautiful hardneck variety originating from Spain, recognizable by its striking deep red skin and white cloves. This garlic combines a complex, sublime flavor with high productivity and is ideal for use in the kitchen, partly because the skin is easy to peel.
Hardneck garlic has fewer but larger cloves and a powerful, full flavor, and is highly resistant to cold winters, but has a slightly shorter shelf life.
- Planting period: in open ground, March - April to mid-November
- Planting distance: 15 cm between plants, 25 cm between rows
- Planting depth: 5 to 10 cm deep (in loose soil, the garlic can be planted deeper)
- Harvest time: end of June to mid-August
