Thymus vulgaris 'Compactus', also known as Kitchen Thyme, is a compact, organic thyme variety with a strong, spicy scent and flavour. This versatile herb is indispensable in the kitchen and ideal for meat dishes, soups, sauces and stews. In the summer, the plant blooms with small, lilac-pink flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Kitchen Thyme likes a sunny location and well-drained, dry soil. The plant is winter hardy and grows low and compact, to a height of approximately 15-25 cm.
