Bulb zucchini 'Ola Redonda' BIO

The light green round courgette 'Ola Redonda' has round fruits with white speckles. This crop ensures a good yield, because you can harvest this round courgette daily. One bag is for approximately 3 m2, and the planting distance is 60x60 cm.

Round courgette 'Ola Redonda' is, as the name suggests, a courgette with round, light green fruits with white spots. Harvest daily for a continuous production of new courgettes. The fruits then weigh an average of 250-300 grams each and are particularly suitable for recipes with stuffed courgettes. In a cool place they can be stored for 4-5 weeks.

'Ola Redonda' is a free pollinated variety and therefore ideal for garden lovers. The plants grow nicely bushy and do not tendril. However, they provide a good yield. Courgettes need little fertilization.

Saving seeds

Store seeds in a cool, dry and dark place, such as a sealed box in a cupboard. Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and use them before that time. If the packaging has been opened, make sure it is sealed properly and check the germination capacity before use.

You can easily test the germination capacity of seeds with a germination test :

  1. Place a few seeds (for example 10) on a damp piece of kitchen paper.
  2. Fold the paper towel closed and place it in a plastic bag or place it in a sealed container.
  3. Place it in a warm place, such as on the windowsill.
  4. After a few days, check to see if the seeds have started to germinate.
