Gomphrena haageana (globe amaranth) - 'Orange'
Gomphrena haageana, also known as globe amaranth, is a beautiful annual plant known for its spherical flowers. This summer flower has sturdy, spherical inflorescences in a warm orange hue that bloom all summer until autumn. With a height of approximately 60 cm, it is ideal for the cutting garden and dried bouquets, because the flowers retain their color and shape beautifully, even dried.
Sowing instructions:
Sow indoors from March, or directly outdoors from May. Globe amaranth is a light germinator, so cover the seeds only very lightly with soil. Keep the soil moist, but not too wet. The first seedlings appear after about 7 to 14 days. Place the plants in a sunny spot in the garden after the last frost, with enough space to grow.
