Limonium suworowii (sea lavender) - 'Pink Pokers'

Limonium suworowii , also known as sea lavender. This unique plant stands out with its striking pink flower spikes that stick up and add a playful look to any flower bed. The strong stems make them perfect for cut flowers, allowing you to create beautiful bouquets that also last a long time.

Sea lavender is an excellent choice for the cutting garden and also attracts bees and butterflies, adding to the biodiversity in your garden. At around 60cm tall, this plant adds both structure and colour to borders and flower beds.

Sowing instructions:

Limonium is a light germinator and therefore needs light for germination. This means that the seeds should not be covered with soil. Spread the seeds on the soil, press them gently and water them. Make sure that the soil remains moist, but prevent it from getting too wet. You can pre-sow the seeds in pots, containers or seed trays, or sow them directly in the open ground after the Ice Saints. Germination usually takes between 10 and 14 days.
