Nigella damascena (lady in green) - 'Albion Black Pod'

The Lady in the Green, or Nigella damascena, is a charming annual plant that adds an atmospheric touch to any garden with its unique, black-podded flowers and delicate, fine leaves. This particular variety, Albion Black Pod, is known for its striking, deep black seed pods that are not only visually appealing but also ideal for dried flower arrangements.

At around 60cm tall, these plants are perfect for filling flower beds, borders or cutting gardens. Their elegant, ethereal look makes them a popular choice for gardeners looking for a bit of drama and colour. What’s more, the flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinators, making them a valuable addition to a biodiverse garden.
