• Planting period: September to October
  
• Planting distance: plant in rows 30 cm apart with 15 cm between plants.
• Planting depth: plant the shallot so the tip is just covered in sandy soil, and plant slightly shallower in clay soil (with the tip and another 0.5 cm of the shallot exposed). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Well-rotted compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
• Harvest: July to August

Approximately 8-10 pieces per 250-gram bag.
