Snowball is a strong, productive white onion set that forms beautiful round onions with a mild, sweet flavor. This uniform variety grows vigorously in both open ground and under glass and has good storability thanks to its firm skin. Due to its good bolting tolerance, Snowball is a reliable choice for the vegetable garden. Young plants can also be harvested in winter and spring as bunching onions.

Planting period: From September to October
- Planting distance: Plant them in rows 30 cm apart with 10 cm between plants.
- Planting depth: Plant the onion so the tip is just visible in sandy soil, and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the tip and 0.5 cm of the onion above the surface). Plant them in this year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Well-rotted compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
- Harvest: June-July
