Radish 'French Breakfast 2' BIO

The medium-length radish 'French Breakfast 2' has a red-white colour. Cover the crop with insect netting to prevent damage by cabbage root fly larvae. One bag is for approximately 2 m2 and the planting distance is 10x3 cm.

Radish 'French Breakfast 2' is a beautiful half-long radish with a red-white colour. Infestation by larvae of the cabbage fly can be prevented by covering the crop with insect netting.

Sow from February in the greenhouse or from March in the open ground. Sow thinly in rows with a distance of 15 cm. The harvest is already after 4 to 6 weeks. Sow regularly. Infestation by cabbage fly larvae can be prevented with insect netting.

Saving seeds

Store seeds in a cool, dry and dark place, such as a sealed box in a cupboard. Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and use them before that time. If the packaging has been opened, make sure it is sealed properly and check the germination capacity before use.

You can easily test the germination capacity of seeds with a germination test :

  1. Place a few seeds (for example 10) on a damp piece of kitchen paper.
  2. Fold the paper towel closed and place it in a plastic bag or place it in a sealed container.
  3. Place it in a warm place, such as on the windowsill.
  4. After a few days, check to see if the seeds have started to germinate.
