Tagetes are easy to sow. It is important not to cover the seeds with soil, as they are light germinators. Place the seeds superficially on the soil, press them gently and make sure the soil remains moist, but not too wet. You can choose to pre-sow the seeds in pots or seed trays, or you can plant them directly in the open ground. Under optimal conditions, Tagetes usually germinate within 5 to 7 days.
