Harvesting and Storage : Corn is ready to harvest when the cobs are full and the green stalks at the top of the plant have turned yellow to brown. Check by pulling back the foliage and pressing a kernel with your thumb. If a milky liquid comes out of the corn, it is ready. The corn is at its best immediately after harvesting.
