This large-fruited currant is a cultivar that was bred for its production of currants that taste like blueberries. 'Princess Diana' is self-pollinating and has no preference for specific soils. The currant likes to be in the sun to half shade, is winter-hardy and grows to a height of 2.5 to 3 meters. The currant blooms abundantly with white flowers that are loved by bees. In the fall, the leaves of the currant turn a beautiful reddish color.
