The Elegantnyj is the earliest-ripening red dogwood variety. The large, pear-shaped berries turn dark red and hang well on the bush without falling off quickly. Thanks to their fresh, sweet-tart flavor, they can be eaten straight from the bush, without further ripening, and are particularly suitable for preparations such as jam, juice, or liqueur.
